The Northwest Connecticut Canaan YMCA delivers programs and services that strive to strengthen the spirit, mind and body of individuals throughout Northwestern Connecticut; it will not deny services or programs to anyone because of inability to pay.  Rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition, the Northwest YMCA pursues the development and enrichment of humankind through the active promotion of love, service, civil respect and understanding the value of human diversity.

The YMCA is dedicated to the well being of the people of Northwestern Connecticut in spirit, mind and body.  The Northwest CT YMCA has been serving Torrington, Winsted and the surrounding communities since 1898.  The YMCA provides programs and services in a variety of areas including:  aquatics, childcare, health and fitness, sports, shelter and housing.  In addition to direct services provided, the YMCA collaborates with many other agencies to enhance services to the community.

Membership at the Northwest CT YMCA allows you to use the Canaan, Torrington and Winsted facilities.  In addition, the YMCA AWAY program offers reciprocal membership opportunities at other YMCA's.
