Independent Living Apartments
The 33 Congregate Independent Living apartments at Geer Village are designed to
be affordable.  One monthly fee covers an inclusive package with 24-hour staffing, YMCA membership and many other services.  In addition, a licensed nurse is on- site 24x7, should the need arise. Geer Village strives to keep its residents healthy, independent and active for as long as possible.  If a resident of Geer Village is in need of health care services, they have direct access to onsite rehabilitation services, as well as skilled nursing care at Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Geer Village encourages an active lifestyle with cultural events on-site or through trips to nearby towns, a library and media center and an arts and crafts studio.  The Northwest Connecticut YMCA and Regional Community Center are part of Geer Village. All programs there are at no charge for Geer residents.  All resident apartments feature full kitchens with dining and living areas. One and two bedroom floor plans are available.

As part of the Geer Village community, all resident apartments are provided with weekly light housekeeping services, cable television, emergency call services and routine apartment maintenance. All utilities are included in the one monthly fee. Residents having a car(s) on campus have the benefit of a reserved parking space.

The 33 Independent Living apartments at Geer Village feature a full kitchen with a microwave, a comfortable living/dining area, wall-to-wall carpeting, a generous walk-in closet and a stacked washer/dryer. 

Living arrangements include complimentary continental breakfast in our Garden Room and either lunch or dinner from the extensive menu in our restaurant-style dining room.
