We hope this finds you and your loved ones well.
Our latest covid status and updates can be found in the News section.
The last 8 + months have certainly been a learning experience for all of us. We want to thank all those that have supported our efforts to combat the Covid-19 virus. Your support with cash contributions, in-kind gifts and moral support have been invaluable.
We remain vigilant and may need to operate differently for some time.
Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, (the nursing home), operates under the regulatory oversite of Connecticut’s Department of Public Health (DPH). The Lodge at Geer Village, (assisted and independent living), follows similar guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), DPH and our state professional associations.
Senior care communities in Connecticut are highly regulated with very strict infection control protocols, especially during this national health crisis involving the coronavirus.
Geer management has very little flexibility in how we enforce these protocols. The current visitor restrictions and testing of staff and residents are being implemented by the Governor’s executive order.
We ask that you abide by these restrictions and work closely with us to ensure the safety of our seniors living on the Geer campus. We know how hard this is for our residents, families, and staff. We appreciate your understanding and support.
As we have updates we will post them in our News & Events page.
