How seniors can combat isolation – loneliness is a growing problem
Prolonged loneliness and isolation can equal the health risks of smoking 15 cigarettes a day, and that 26 percent of people have increased risk of death due to loneliness. Loneliness during aging is a growing problem as 1 in 4 of the 76 million baby boomers could become isolated.
