ABout Geer - Senior Living Community
Community

Geer isn’t just a place to live or receive care. It is a community gathering place for people from all over the Tri-State area. Every day we host several different organizations; whether it be for a meeting, class, meal or party.
Geer values its position as a non-profit leader of the Canaan, Connecticut community and beyond. As one of Litchfield County’s largest employers, we recognize that we have a unique responsibility and opportunity to support our community in a variety of ways.
In order to best meet the needs of the community and to utilize our contributions in the most effective way, Geer has created the following procedures which guide our charitable giving.
Geer Corporation Charitable Giving Guidelines

  • Geer Corporation seeks to support community organizations that are compatible with the Geer mission, vision and values and the strategic priorities of the organization.
  • Geer Corporation considers applications for support from not-for-profit organizations located in the communities that Geer serves and where their employees and Board Members live.
  • Geer Corporation gives priority consideration to applications from organizations with which we directly collaborate or where our employees or Board members volunteer.

Qualified not-for-profit organizations must complete Geer Corporation’s Application for Charitable Support, which is available to download or by contacting Brooke Fehn, Executive Assistant to the CEO at (860) 824-3869 or email at bfehn@geercares.org.
