We have an exciting update for you regarding our Pharmacy transition.

As you may know, Geer Pharmacy is now partnering with Hancock Pharmacy for the operation of our on-campus pharmacy.

Hancock Pharmacy is in the process of obtaining a license to operate in the pharmacy location on the Geer campus. We expect this to happen in the next 30 to 60 days. Once they have their license and are set up, they will fully operate out of the Geer location.

To facilitate this transition, effective Friday October 14th Geer Pharmacy is officially closed, and Hancock Pharmacy will complete your prescriptions from their current location.

What this means to you:

  • Geer Nursing & Geer Lodge residents will continue with their current ordering systems, facilitated through the Nursing staff at their locations.
  • Employees and the general public (including Beckley House residents), can still call our main number (860) 824-3822 to place an order. This order will be communicated to Hancock Pharmacy.
  • Hancock will complete the prescription and deliver it to you, if you are within a 15-mile radius of Geer. Please discuss this with the Pharmacy Tech when you call and delivery/pick up details can be arranged.
  • Someone needs to be home to accept and sign for the prescription.
    • If there is no one home to sign they will leave a notice of attempted delivery and try again or reach out to you.

We will notify you when the new Hancock Pharmacy at Geer is ready to open its doors to the public.

Thank you for your continued support
