Cook/Chef – Full time

As a Cook/Chef you will directly impact the high quality of life that Geer residents have come to enjoy. We seek a commitment to excellence in food preparation, safety and cleanliness. Responsible to prepare food according to menus, in a timely manner and meeting all safety guidelines. Starting wage based on your training and experience. Preference for senior living experience but not required, we will train the right person!
No crazy restaurant hours!
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Support food service operations by plating and serving meals.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen workflow.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe cooking environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Basic understanding of inventory management and control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various cooking styles
- Excellent food service skills
- Team-oriented with a focus on kitchen management and efficiency
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
