Door-to-Door Service

Geer Village Dial-a-Ride provides courteous, careful transportation for your non-emergency medical appointments or shopping needs.

Dial-a-Ride is a service available to residents over the age of 60 and/or disabled and from the towns of Cornwall, Falls Village, North Canaan, Salisbury and Sharon.

Geer can also serve residents from outside these towns, on a limited basis, through the RITS program (Rural Transportation Services). The RITS program is funded through the Northwest Hills Council of Government.

Service Availability Information
  • Available Monday through Friday from approximately 8 am to 5 pm
  • Some flexibility is available for earlier or later appointments

Handicapped accessible vehicles are used to provide this service free of charge. Donations are encouraged to help offset the cost of rides and maintain the vehicles.

Just One Call

Transportation to medical appointments made easy!

With just one call you can let us know when you or your loved one needs to visit a particular doctor or lab and we will schedule the doctor’s appointment and the ride for you.

We will call the office, schedule the appointment, arrange the transportation and call you back with all the details. All the doctors, labs and hospitals in the area know us and we work together to make your visits convenient.

Geer Title VI Policy Statement

Dial-a-Ride is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation, denied benefits, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity, on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability or income level. Any person who believes that he or she has been subjected to discrimination or retaliation based on their race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability or income level may file a Title VI complaint.

This Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Plan has been prepared to address Geer’s responsibilities as a recipient of federal financial assistance as they relate to the needs of individuals with limited English language skills. The plan has been prepared in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Federal Transit Administration Circular 4702. 1A dated May 13, 2007, which state that no person shall be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin.
